Ryan Lochte makes a speciality of the backstroke and individual medley, but is also a freestyle and butterfly swimmer. he’s noted for the speed and distance he attains while kicking underwater. Ryan Lochte beats Michael Phelps in Semi in Semi and qualified for his fourth Olympic Games after finishing fourth within the two hundred freestyle, earning him a spot on the relay. On the opening night the defending olympic champion didn’t qualify within the four hundred meter medley. He revealed that he pulled his groin within the prelims and his strategy was to get out to a strong start and hold on. He managed to achieve a 3 seconds head start at the halfway point, but was unable to hold on and settled for third.

Ryan Lochte beats Michael Phelps in Semi and finished in 1 minute, 58.05 seconds, the eighth-best time in the world this year, but remained in pain from the injured groin that’s bothered him all week.
To compensate for the discomfort on the breaststroke leg, Lochte used a smaller kick.

Both michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte are within the 200-meter individual medley finals at the USA Swimming Olympic trials. Phelps, who has already qualified within the 200-meter butterfly for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, is looking for his second individual qualifying for rio Games. Lochte, on the other hand, has fallen short in individual competition thus far and wishes a top end in the finals of the 200-meter individual medley on Friday to qualify.

Michael Phelps, who turned thirty one on Thursday, touched the wall in 1:58.95. after qualifying for his fifth Olympic Games on Wed night with a success within the two hundred butterfly, Phelps struggled to sleep last night. He resorted to shooting text messages to coach Bob bowman.
The two hundred IM semifinals are Thursday and therefore the final is Friday.
“This is the grind time for me,” Phelps said.
Phelps, an 18-time gold medalist, insists once again that these will be his last Olympic Games. he is the most decorated u.  s. Olympian of all time, and smart money is on him qualifying in the 200-meter individual medley on friday.
