Olympic Record holder vs World Record holder in the 200m IM Rio Olympics

Michael Phelps vs. Ryan Lochte in the 200m individual medley Rio Olympics

Phelps clocked 1:55.91 to beat Lochte by 0.31 seconds in 200m individual medley at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials from Omaha. The 200m individual medley – a true test of a swimmer’s speed, versatility and endurance – has been won at every Olympics since 2004 by Michael Phelps. It is an opportunity for Michael phelps to become the only swimmer to win four consecutive gold medals in the same event and in 100m butterfly too.

In women’s 200IM Katinka Hosszu of Hungary won her third gold medal of the Rio Games in the 200m individual medley.
