Approximately 1300 athletes from across the country will be vying for top honours when the Glenmark 33rd Sub_junior National Aquatic Championship and 43rd Junior National Aquatic Championship is held in Bangalore from June 29 to July 2. The timing of heats and finals is the morning session from 8 am onwards and finals will be conducted from 5 pm every day.

India’s swimming coach, Pradeep Kumar, also head at the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, has stepped down from the two roles, it is learnt. It ends, or at least breaks, the 29-year relationship that Pradeep has had with BAC.Pradeep had mentored several Olympians in the past, including

  •  Sajini Shetty
  • Abhinaya Shetty
  •  Nisha Millet
  •  Reshma Millet
  •   Rehan Poncha and Aaron D’Souza.

Doordarshan/DD Sports will be carrying the swimming event live between 5:00pm and 8:00 pm on all events.
